Sunderland haven’t won at Goodison Park since 1996 and the Black Cats head to Everton this evening – Simon Hopper previews.

Liverpool have denied reports claiming that Yossi Benayoun is on the verge of joining Dynamo Moscow.

Dynamo claimed that the Israel midfielder had agreed terms and was poised to join the Russian outfit in a deal worth £7million.

The suggestion came from the club’s sporting director Konstantin Sarsania, who also insisted the Israel captain’s move was at an advanced stage.

“It is true that we have come to an agreement with the player’s agent,” said Sarsania, who has seen Dynamo sign out-of-favour striker Andriy Voronin from Liverpool.

“In the next two days, Liverpool will make their own decision.”

But the Reds have wasted little time in confirming the 29-year-old is going nowhere.

“The player is not for sale, it’s as simple as that,” said a club spokesman on Liverpool’s offical website.
