Lyon have confirmed they are interested in signing Liverpool’s unsettled striker Milan Baros.

The Czech international looks set to leave Liverpool this summer after admitting that he was unhappy at being substituted so frequently.

A move to Lyon would reunite him with former Liverpool boss Gerard Houllier who brought the striker to Anfield four years ago.

Houllier will now travel to watch Baros represent the Czech Republic in their World Cup qualifier against Macedonia.

“Even if we want to remain as discrete as possible, I confirm Baros is on our list,” confirmed chairman Jean-Michel Aulas.

“Sport director Bernard Lacombe and Gerard Houllier will oversee the next Czech Republic match.”
