Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo believes his side are capable of beating any team in Europe and suggested that Milan, even with the additions of Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer, should not be a concern.

Real have been drawn in one of the tougher looking Champions League groups with Ajax, Auxerre and Milan.

But while Ronaldo concedes that the encounters with Milan will prove challenging, he is confident that the nine-time champions have what it takes to beat the Italian outfit.

“They have reinforced,” Ronaldo said. “They will be two difficult games, but we mustn’t think about our opponents. We are Real Madrid and we are not afraid of anyone.”

And the Portuguese re-iterated his belief that Real are on course for success in this competition.

“We will win something, of that I’m sure. I have a very clear feeling inside. We can’t keep winning nothing. I can’t allow myself to bring nothing home for two years.

“I feel that with a new coach and the signings that we have made, we are ready to change tack. In recent years in the Champions League things haven’t gone well but this year it will be different.”
