The agent of Inter defender, Maicon, emerged from a meeting with Real Madrid on Monday night unhappy with the Spanish club’s attitude.

The two clubs are still yet to agree on a transfer fee, but with Inter willing to lower their €28 million asking price it seems it is Maicon’s €7 million a year wage demands, according to Spanish daily AS, that are delaying a deal .

With the transfer saga dragging on agent Antonio Caliendo now claims the Brazilian international could remain at the San Siro.

“His stay at Inter is a very concrete hypothesis, seeing that he is very happy in Milan,” Caliendo told Eurosport. “Anyway I am very angry with Real Madrid’s behaviour towards us.”

Maicon has been linked with a reunion with former Inter boss Jose Mourinho at the Bernabeu since the start of the summer, but Caliendo accused Real of not doing enough to complete the deal.

“If you want to make a certain investment in a player, you also need to make sacrifices as far as the contract is concerned,” Caliendo said. “In any case there will be a development this week.”
