The agent of Inter’s Maicon does not expect the full-back to leave Giuseppe Meazza in January despite fresh speculation about a move to Manchester City.
There have already been reports that new City boss Roberto Mancini wants to sign the Brazil international following his appointment at City on Saturday.
City have long been linked with Maicon and his representative, Antonio Caliendo, claims that Inter rejected a €40million offer from a club last season.
“This doesn’t surprise me because Mancini knows Maicon like no other and together they did great things and won so much,” he told fcinternews.it.
“But at Inter, Maicon has excellent terms with both the team and the club. And in any case I don’t think he is a player who could move in January.”
On suggestions of a big-money offer, Caliendo added: “€40m? I don’t establish the price, but I know that last year an offer of that amount was refused.”
