Struggling Malaga have sacked coach Antonio Tapia, the Primera Liga club have confirmed.
The Andalucian club lost 3-1 at Espanyol in the league yesterday to slip to the foot of the table with 17 points from 21 games. Sunday’s defeat was the club’s fourth straight league defeat and their seventh in nine matches.
Tapia was promoted from reserve team coach to replace Gregorio Manzano in January last year and helped steer the club away from the relegation zone.
