Gregorio Manzano has been appointed the new coach of Real Mallorca, following Hector Cuper resignation earlier this week.

Manzano returns to the club for a second spell, having led them to triumph in the King’s Cup and a ninth place-finish in 2003.

He has signed a contract until the end of next season.

“Now is the time for us to raise our heads and look forward to the future,” he said, after being unveiled at a press conference.

Cuper resigned as coach after Mallorca dropped to the foot of the table following a 1-1 draw at home to Getafe.
