Bolton defender Ivan Campo is interested in a move to former club Real Mallorca, according to his agent.

Campo, 31, played for Mallorca in the 1997-98 season and is out of contract with Bolton at the end of the season.

Agent Miguel Angel Cermeno told Spanish newspaper Marca: “Someone has called us to say that Mallorca are interested.

“Ivan would be delighted to go back to Palma and although he is highly valued at Bolton it would be very sad and a scandal if nothing happens.”

Campo joined Bolton on loan from Real Madrid in August 2002 before signing a permanent deal on a free transfer the following July.

“From here we are waiting to see if Bolton are ready to accept his departure,” Cermeno added.
