Roberto Mancini was disappointed to see Internazionale lose their unbeaten record against Roma.

A win for Inter would have secured the Scudetto for Inter, late goals from Francesco Totti and Marco Cassetti earned second-placed Roma a 3-1 win at Giuseppe Meazza .

“There is a little disappointment for the defeat because we hoped to end the season unbeaten,” said Mancini.

“For the postponement of the scudetto, this is not a problem.

“In the first half, we did not play in a good way, whilst in the second we did better.”

The result puts Roma 11 points clear of Lazio in the race for second spot and coach Luciano Spalletti was happy with the win.

Spalletti said: “This is an important result for second place in the standings.

“We have also suffered in a few moments because Inter, after our goal, they tried to recover the result. Then there has been this result for my players’ will.

“It’s important to have got a further advantage also over Lazio. To play a derby with a good margin gives us calm.”
