Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has dismissed reports of a bust-up with Emmanuel Adebayor, brushing off suggestions of a major row.

Reports had claimed that Adebayor had to be restrained by team-mates after Mancini accused him of faking a serious injury. The former Togo international forward, who has been linked with a move away from Eastlands after falling down the City pecking, has missed City’s last three games with a dead leg and reports at the weekend claimed Mancini had accused Adebayor of feigning the injury.

“We fought in the dressing room for an hour” the Italian quipped to reporters.

“I won because I don’t have any scars. It was nothing.”
