Fulham’s Steve Marlet could be on the verge of a move to set to club Wolfsburg after the Bundesliga club agreed a fee for the French striker.

The 31-year-old has never settled at Craven Cottage since his €18 million transfer from Lyon in 2001 and spent the last two seasons on loan with Marseille.

Marlet has 12 months left on his contract with Fulham and Fulham are ready to off-load the striker for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of €2 million.

“We have reached an agreement with Fulham and now it’s up to the player to decide whether he wants to join us or stay in France,” Wolfsburg general manager Thomas Strunz told Wolfsburger Nachrichten.
