Porto striker Benni McCarthy has admitted he is desperate to leave Portugal and would like to move to England.
McCarthy, 29, has fallen out with Porto’s management and looking for a fresh start.
“I’m tired of so much ingratitude and falsehood,” the South African said.
“I deserve to live in peace. It would be best if I go elsewhere to seek the happiness Porto can no longer give me.” he told Portugese sports daily A Bola.
“In South Africa, when I was a child, I only watched English football. It is an obsession that I have,” he said.
