Borussia Dortmund defender Christoph Metzelder admits he might move abroad in the summer if things do not improve in Germany.
Metzelder has suffered several injury setbacks in recent years and was dropped by former coach Bert van Marwijk.
“I have the possibility of moving abroad on a free transfer in the summer and I want to keep this option open,” said Metzelder.
“If you could play for a club like Borussia Dortmund, with this stadium, these fans and these expectations, then there are few alternative options in Germany.
“But I still want to talk to BVB first. I don’t want to say that I’m determined to move abroad whatever happens.”
