Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has praised the efforts of coach Leonardo.

The Rossoneri claimed their 11th win of the Serie A campaign yesterday with a 3-0 defeat of rivals Juventus in Turin to consolidate their second spot in the table behind leaders Inter.

“I believe the merit of our results is down to Leonardo,” said Galliani. “Our coach has evaluated in the best possible way the players he has available. There are many positive aspects to this team and now we must enjoy this great victory against Juve.”

Leonardo replaced Carlo Ancelotti in the summer summer and endured a difficult start. The team eventually found their form and are now eight points behind city rivals Inter with a game in hand.

“I don’t know if we are at the level of Inter,” said Galliani. “But I don’t want to think about them. We are Milan and they are Inter.”
