Hernan Crespo has confirmed that Chelsea have opened negotiations with Milan with a view to making his move to the San Siro a permanent one.

Crespo joined Milan on a season-long loan in the summer and he is keen to secure a permanent switch.

“They are talking about me staying over these days,” said the Argentinian striker.

“I want to stay at Milan but the decision must also arrive from both clubs.

“I know they are talking and I imagine that it won’t be possible to find a quick agreement.

“But I know also that I must continue at this same level.”
