Former Rangers captain Craig Moore is poised to leave the club and join his former Ibrox boss Dick Advocaat at Borussia Moenchengladbach.

Moore has not played for Rangers since September following an operation and the Australian fell out with manager Alex McLeish earlier in the season fafter he decided to play in the Olympics.

“We are highly interested in Craig,” said Advocaat.

“I have trained him for a while and know his qualities. He is the tough defender we are looking for.”

Advocaat has also been linked with a possible January move for Rangers striker Shota Arveladze who, like Moore, becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
