Porto coach Jose Mourinho has praised his side’s composure after their 2-0 win against Lyon in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

Goals from Deco and Ricardo put the Portuguese champions in pole position in the tie.

“When you play at home in the first leg you can try to go out and gain a big win to make it easy for you in the return,’ said Mourinho.

‘We didn’t do that. We kept our composure and that helped us play a good game.”

Neither coach is prepared to accept that the tie is over.

“I hope we will approach the return leg as though the score is 0-0 and not 2-0 because anything can happen over 90 minutes,” said the POrto boss.

Lyon coach Paul Le Guen added: “This tie isn’t over, we’ll be calling on the fans to give us some extra support at the Gerland Stadium and, with the team motivated and with revenge on our minds, I say why not?”
