Tottenham continue their quest for Champions League football at home to Blackburn this Saturday – Gavin Beech previews the betting.

Everton boss David Moyes remains optimistic the club can extend Landon Donovan’s loan spell at Goodison Park.

The USA international is due to return to LA Galaxy after Everton’s weekend Premier League clash with Birmingham City.

Donovan, 28, has impressed during his time on Merseyside with two goals in nine league appearances.

When quizzed whether this weekend’s game could be Donovan’s last, Moyes told Sky Sports News: “I don’t know yet, so I can’t give you an answer.

“At the moment it officially finishes on Saturday and after the game we’ll send him back.

“I think there’s a chance the players might strike over there and if that’s the case then we’re able to keep him no problem.

“He’s done great. He’s played in the team and settled in very quickly with the players and he’s had an impact so we can’t ask anymore of him.”

Moyes has denied negotiating terms with the MLS to secure Donovan’s services on permanent basis.

“We’ve never talked about a permanent deal,” he added.
