Fiorentina’s domestic and European ambitions have suffered a blow with the news that striker Adrian Mutu has been ruled out for a month.
Mutu suffered a knee injury during Sunday’s defeat to Roma after colliding with goalkeeper Alexander Doni. He will miss both legs of Fiorentina’s UEFA Cup tie with Everton, as well as several Serie A fixtures.
The club’s leading scorer this season star was forced to limp off with the problem and scans have shown the Romanian sustained ligament damage.
