Napoli claim they have a verbal agreement to sign Arsenal’s Arturo Lupoli at the end of the season.
Lupoli is currently playing in the Championship with Derby County after being loaned out by Arsenal at the start of the season.
The 19-year-old striker is free to sign a pre-contract with any club, as his contract at Arsenal expires at the end of the season.
Napoli’s general director Pierpaolo Marino claims they have an agreement with Lupoli’s agent that the striker will join them in June.
“We have first option on Lupoli,” Marino told Corriere dello Sport.
“Should his agent’s word be true in June, there won’t be any problems.”
