The Italian league has confirmed that that Napoli will play Sunday’s game against Genoa behind closed doors.
The punishment comes in the wake of Napoli fans’ behaviour during their 1-0 win over Livorno on Wednesday.
Supporters at the San Paolo stadium displayed an offensive banner and hurled bottles on the field, one of which struck an assistant referee.
Napoli have enjoyed a good start on their return to Serie A and are unbeaten in four games and currently sit fourth.
