Sevilla winger Jesus Navas could be out of action for up to eight weeks after picking up a knee injury in their 3-0 King’s Cup win over Gimnastica Segoviana,.
“Navas has torn the mensicus in his left knee and aggravated what appears to be an older injury around his anterior cruciate ligament,” the club said on their web site.
The player, who has been in impressive form this season, will undergo exploratory surgery after which Sevilla will know the full extent of his lay-off.
