Manuel Neuer claims he has no plans to leave Schalke despite fresh reports linking him with a move away from the club.

The highly-rated keeper’s future has been the subject of speculation with Bayern Munich refusing to deny their interest in the player.

Recent reports have suggested Schalke may be forced to cash-in on Neuer to ease their financial problems, but the Germany international says he will be staying at Schalke.

“I am going to stay, this issue was a public issue already last summer,” Neuer told Rheinische Post. ” Then I also stayed on at Schalke 04.

“I am a Schalke player and I absolutely like being a Schalke player.”

Asked about rumours of interest from Bayern Munich, Neuer said: “I am not going to end up part of speculation!”
