Dani Alves’ agent insists there have no been approaches from Premier League clubs for the player.

The Barcelona defender is reported to have attracted attention from England, with Chelsea and Manchester City with a move.

With the Brazilian’s contract at Camp Nou set to expire in 2012, and with extension talks having stalled, it has been suggested that Barca could look to cash in now rather than risk losing him leaving on a free transfer in 18 months time.

“No English clubs have contacted me to present an offer,” Joaquin Macanas told Sport.

“Reports of interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are not true.”
