Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has no intention of playing in England, according to the player’s brother.

Chiellini was bought by Juventus for €6.5million in the summer of 2004 from Livorno before being immediately sold in a co-ownership deal with Fiorentina for €3.5million.

After an impressive first season in Serie A Juventus re-called the defender for the start of the 2005-06 season paying another €4.3million to ensure full ownership.

After establishing himself in Claudio Ranieri’s defence the 24-year-old has been linked with a switch to the Premier League.

“Giorgio signed a contract renewal in July and even though I am not his agent I can tell you there is a real difference between talking about a deal and signing one,” Chiellini’s brother Claudio told Goal.com.

“I think this talk of him leaving is just pure fantasy. However if a club like Manchester City arrived at the end of the season and offered mega money, maybe it would be different.

“But it’s all down to Juventus. I don’t think the Bianconeri want to sell one of the best defenders in the world.”
