Former Manchester United wnger Jesper Olsen is recovering after collapsing with a brain haemorrhage.

Olsen’s company said the former Danish international was admitted to hospital after a sub-arachnoid haemorrhage last week.

“He remains under observation and will undergo further tests,” a statement from his Proactive Sports Management Australia company read.

Manchester United paid Ajax £350,000 for the highly-rated Olsen in June 1984, and he helped the Old Trafford club to lift the FA Cup in 1985. He was sold to Bordeaux for £400,000 in 1988.
