Sampdoria striker Giampaolo Pazzini is flattered to be target of Juventus and has dismissed reports that he is set to join Chelsea.

According to the Italian media, Pazzini is Juve’s number one priority in the summer transfer market.

“I have been told about those reports,” said Pazzini. “It gives me pleasure to know that a team as important as Juve can be interested in me.

“It only makes me proud that Juve would consider me as a target. But I focus on the present and right now I only want to do well with Sampdoria.”

Pazzini is Samp’s top scorer with 11 league goals this season and he is also a reported target of Chelsea. However, Pazzini has denied those rumours.

“I have not been contacted by anyone and (Chelsea manager Carlo) Ancelotti has not called me,” said the 25-year-old. “I am happy at Sampdoria and I feel really good playing in Italy. The Serie A, with all its defects is a league that I really like.”
