Italy striker Giampaolo Pazzini has joined Inter from Sampdoria, signing a contract that will run until June 2015.

Inter confirmed the deal on its website, stating that the 26-year-old signed for €12 million, with French winger Jonathan Biabiany moving in the opposite direction.

Pazzini has scored nine goals in all competitions for Sampdoria this season. He joined the Genoa club in 2009 from Fiorentina.

He has made 13 international appearances for Italy, scoring one goal, and was in the squad for last year’s World Cup.
