French manager Raymond Domenech has dropped Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires for next week’s friendly international against Poland at the Stade de France.

Pires was critical of Domenech in a recent interview with soccer magazine France Football and is apparently paying the price for his comments.

Domenech has called up Lyon midfielder Florent Malouda, Bordeaux playmaker Camel Meriem and Paris St Germain defender Sylvain Armand.
