Former France legend Michel Platini hass announced that he intends to run for the presidency of the sport’s European governing body, UEFA.
“I’ve sent a letter announcing my intention to the president of UEFA,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
“There are many turbulences in the world of soccer and I want to do something about it.”
The current president of UEFA is Swede Lennart Johansson.
