Hugo Almeida has been recalled by Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to replace the injured Nuno Gomes for the World Cup Group Three qualifier against Luxembourg on Wednesday.
Porto striker, Almeida, who scored three goals in Portugal’s last two Under-21 matches, was the only change to the squad that thrashed Russia 7-1 in a World Cup qualifier last month.
