Fans of Champions League finalists Milan and Liverpool have begun the scramble to get a ticket for the eagerly-awaited clash.

Each club will receive 20,000 tickets, with 100,000 hotel rooms in the city already snapped up by travel agents in anticipation of the final at the Ataturk stadium in Istanbul on 25 May.

Return flights to Istanbul from the UK on and around the date of the final have already hit the £600 mark.

There are about 69,500 tickets available in all with both clubs receiving 20,000 tickets each. But with Liverpool alone expecting up to 40,000 fans to travel, demand will inevitably exceed supply.

Uefa has closed applications for the 7,500 tickets it is selling on its.

The Turkish Football Association has 7,500 tickets to sell resulting in fears that supporters will travel to Istanbul hoping to purchase on the black market.
