Talks aimed at extending David Beckham contract with Real Madrid will be determined by the length of the deal required by the player, the Spanish club has revealed.
The 31-year-old has confirmed he would like to remain at the Bernabeu, and the club president Ramon Calderon has always maintained he would like Beckham to stay.
The club’s sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has admitted that the length of the new contract has yet to be resolved.
“The renewal of Beckham’s contract is the decision of the club, he is very keen to stay here,” Mijatovic told TVE television’s El Rondo
“The number of years for which his contract will be renewed is what we must first talk about with his representative.
“We are all delighted with Beckham and he wants to stay, those are the two fundamental things.
