Real Sociedad are poised to sign Rangers midfield player Dragan Mladenovic on loan, despite the transfer window having closed at the end of January.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) allows a club to sign a player outside of the window, provided the incoming player replace a squad member who is expected to be out injured for six months. In this case, Real’s Igor Jauregi is the unfortunate individual.

Real have said that they will pay Rangers a fee in the region of €250,000 now, with the option to buy him at the end of the season.

Mladenovic has been plagued by injury since joining the Glasgow club from FK Crvena Zvezda last summer.
