Real Madrid are set to meet with Hernan Crespo’s agent on Wednesday to discuss a possible move ahead of the January transfer window.

The Spanish champions are currently on the lookout for forward reinforcements following the loss through injury of Ruud van Nistelrooy for the rest of the campaign.

The 33-year-old former Milan and Chelsea striker fits Real’s short-term requirements and the Madrid outfit are reportedly willing to offer the veteran a six-month deal.

Real have also been linked with another Serie A striker in the form of Roma’s Mirko Vucinic.

However, the Giallorossi have instantly dismissed the speculation, stating the 25-year-old will not leave the club in January or the end of the season.

“We will not sell our Vucinic neither in January, nor in June,” read a club statement.

“Even if Real made an official request, which they haven’t done and as far as we know they won’t do so.”
