Reggina have confirmed the sale of Japanese international Shunsuke Nakamura to Celtic.
According to Japanese newspaper reports last week the transfer fee was in the region of £3.5m.
Nakamura joined Reggina from Yokohama Marinos in July 2002 and scored 11 goals in 80 Serie A games.
Reggina posted a message to Nakamura on their website on Monday.
“The club would like to express its appreciation to Shunsuke Nakamura for his human quality and for his great professional approach in the past three years, it said.
“We would also like to thank the Japanese media, the Japanese Football Associat and fans who have followed him and our team with great passion.”
