Stefan Reuter has resigned as Borussia Dortmund team manager.

The former Germany international had been a memeber of Bert van Marwijk’s management since retiring as a Dortmund player in 2002 having made some 307 appearances for the club.

The 38-year-old admitted he had become fed up with life at the Westfalen Stadion and felt the time had come for him to move on.

“I have given everything for Borussia Dortmund over these last 12-and-a-half years but the way things are currently going, I don’t see the point any more,” he told Bild.
