Jose Antonio Reyes has played down reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old striker has recently been linked with a return to Spain with his agent claiming Real are interested in signing him.

“I have seen the stories in the media linking me with Real Madrid,” he said.

“But not only am I under contract at Arsenal, I am happy here and committed to helping the team win more trophies.”

“The season is not over for us. We have much to play for and I am focused on giving my best so we can finish in the strongest position possible,” he added.

Reyes has struggled to for Arsenal this season and there have been reports that he was unhappy at the club.

His agent, Jaime Rodriguez, claimed earlier this week that Real were interested in signing his client.

“It is an honour for Reyes that Real are interested in him but they know what his situation is and the path they have to follow,” Rodriguez said.

“It was a long time, around eight years ago, when they first showed an interest and now the rumours are starting up again.

“If the clubs can reach an agreement there will be no problem.”
