Jose Antonio Reyes’s agent has revealed that the Arsenal striker would consider a move to Lyon.

The Spaniard is expected to leave Emirates Stadium before the close of the transfer window after spending last season on loan at Real Madrid.

His agent, Jesus Rodriguez de Moya, has admitted that Reyes would prefer to stay at Real, but could be tempted by the prospect of a move to the French champions.

“We know Lyon has a big interest in Jose Antonio,” he told L’Equipe.

“The first thing we need to know is if he can stay at Real Madrid.

“Ramon Calderon {Real Madrid president} has said he is keen to sign Reyes but if Real don’t want him Lyon would become his priority.”

Meanwhile, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas admitted their hopes of signing Fernando Morientes had been dashed, but he confirmed they had now turned their attentions to Reyes.

“We have had a phone call with his (Morientes) agent and he told us the player would not leave Valencia, so we are now on the trail of Reyes,” Aulas told OL TV.
