Marseille’s Franck Ribery says he will have a much better idea where he will be playing next season by the end of next week.

The French playmaker has been the subject of speculation since his eye-catching performances during last summer’s World Cup.

Several of Europe’s biggest clubs have been linked with Ribery, among them Arsenal, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus and Milan.

But after Marseille qualified for next season’s Champions League, Ribery’s departure could be delayed for another year.

“At the end of next week, we should know much more about my future,” Ribery said in L’Equipe.

“It is possible that I stay at l’OM, with the prospect of playing in the Champions League. That can attract me.”

Ribery also confirmed that French champions Lyon had expressed an interest in signing him.

“Among the clubs attracted there is also Lyon. They say they are interested,” he added.
