Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard delivered a verbal swipe at Liverpool counterpart Rafael Benitez ahead of tonight’s Champions League match at Anfield.

The European champions are hoping to overturn a 2-1 deficit as they look to retain the trophy.

Liverpool manager Benitez believes his team will face a three-man attack featuring Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto’o.

Rijkaard, who was giving nothing away about his starting line-up, responded: “It is great to play against a team whose manager already knows everything.

“Maybe it is his way of hiding any kind of anxiety he might have himself.

“The people who know everything and say they know everything are the ones who know the least amount.”

“The style Liverpool have – quite physical and tactically disciplined – once you have seen a couple of their games you know how they play.

“I left my crystal ball at home so I can’t give you the score but it is a great opportunity for us to put things right from the first leg.”

Rijkaard remains confident of progressing to the last eight, and he insists his players will not intimidated by the famed Anfield atmosphere.

“Liverpool have a great crowd and we will be motivated by them,” said the Dutch boss.

“It is a great opportunity for us to put things right from the first leg.

“We are playing away from our stadium and have nothing to lose.

“We will just go for it and see what happens. Some people may think Liverpool are already through and that takes the pressure off us.

“Maybe they will find it hard in front of their own fans.

“We have an excellent group of players and a team strong enough to spring a surprise.”
