Villarreal playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme has expressed his admiration for Manchester United – the club with whom he has been linked.
Following a series of impressive displays that have taken Villarreal to the last four of the Champions League, the Argentinian is understood to have become a target for United.
“I follow English football a lot on television,” Riquelme told the Daily Express.
“I have a clear idea of what the Premier League is like: it is very strong.
“United have a team crammed full of stars. Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo have a great future, they are almost there already.
“And Old Trafford is one of the historic stadiums in world football.”
