Tottenham manager Martin Jol has described Chelsea’s Arjen Robben as the best player to come out of Holland since Johan Cruyff.

“Johan Cruyff was a big phenomenon in Holland,” said Dutchman Jol on the eve of his side’s meeting with league leaders Chelsea.

“I said three years ago that Robben is a small phenomenon in Holland and he will be a big phenomenon.

“There are maybe two or three players as good as he is in the last 20 or 30 years. He’s that good.”

Jol believes Robben will be just one of many problems his side will encounter at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

“Chelsea also have Damien Duff, so they have two very good players and they have other really good players as well,” said Jol.

“There are a few things you can take into consideration against them – but you can’t stop them. Robben is the best player since Johan Cruyff in Holland, and I am not the only one saying that.”
