Dutch winger Arjen Robben, has been ruled out for over a month after tearing a hamstring in PSV’s Thursday night UEFA Cup tie.
The highly ratedÊ international will join Chelsea in the summer.
‘I felt it tearing and knew immediately that it had gone wrong,’ Robben told Algemeen Dagblad.
‘I was on the edge for a while. Now I guess I’ll be out of rotation for a while.’
PSV coach Guus Hiddink was clearly disappointed with the loss of such an influential player.
‘The loss of Robben is very bitter and it appears to be a situation where we’re going to miss him for many weeks,’ confirmed Hiddink.
