Real Madrid’s Roberto Carlos says the players are to blame for Real Madrid’s recent poor run and hopes that coach Jose Antonio Camacho changes his mind about resigning.

Camacho offered his resignation to Real president Florentino Perez on Sunday night and the matter will be discussed at an emergency meeting on Monday.

Roberto Carlos claims the players are responsible for Camacho’s decision to resign because of their poor start to the season.

“All the responsibility of this situation is because of the bad results,” said Roberto Carlos.

“All the players are responsible.

“Camacho is a good professional. He is the man made responsible for all the work.

“The solution will be made in the conversations by the officials for the benefit of Real Madrid.

“Camacho arrived with a different style of work and he needed the help of the players.

“Camacho did not speak like the other coaches of the last few years, but he wanted great success for Madrid.

“It is necessary to have more patience.”
