Liverpool go top on goal difference, after their second 4-4 draw in a week, but with Man Utd having TWO games in hand everything points to the Red Devils lifting the title?

Robinho has confirmed he intends to remain at Manchester City “for a long time to come”.

Robinho has been the focus of speculation and criticism as his goals dried up and questions were raised about his performances away from home – only two of his 13 goals this season have come on the road.

As City prepare to travel to FA Cup finalists Everton on Saturday, the Brazilian has insisted that he enjoys working with manager Mark Hughes and has no intention of leaving the club.

“Expectations are high about how the team will do but my aim is to remain here for a long time to come,” Robinho told the club’s website. “The manager gives me total confidence and the team help me to produce my best football.

“That goal gives me a lot more confidence to score more in the matches that we have left. There are no regrets on my part about coming here. Of course this is only my first year, and I try to get better and better every year. Hopefully in the future I will be even happier at this football club.”

Hughes stated after the victory against West Brom that Robinho was having “a great season” and was “a joy to watch”.

The £32.5m signing added: “My relationship with the manager is very good. Our manager is a very good manager, an excellent manager.”
