Inter president Massimo Moratti insists that Ronaldo will stay at the club for anotehr season before departing.

“He will stay for one more year, against his will, then he will leave whether we win something or not,” he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Sadly we are used to his absence and not having won three titles and five European Cups his departure won’t be a torture,” the president added.

Meanwhile, the player’s agent Alexandre Martin, remains confident that his client is heading for Real Madrid.

“We have to be patient, but we know that there’s many ways the transfer can be concluded. In the end Ronaldo will sign for Real Madrid,” Martin told Spanish daily Marca.

“What player wouldn’t like to go to Real? He (Ronaldo) really wants to return to Spain, to play football and because of the good time he had the last time he played there (with Barcelona in 1996-1997).

“We know that Real and Inter are talking. We just have to remain calm and wait for the news,” said Martin.
