Crystal Palace winger Wayne Routledge has turned the club’s new contract offer.

The highly-rated 20-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season, and Palace are eager to get him to sign a new deal.

Several Premier League clubs are known to be interested in signing Routledge should he refuse to pen a new deal to remain at Selhurst Park.

The club’s manager Iain Dowie confirmed has not given up hope of persuading the England under-21 international to remain in south London.

“Wayne has intimated to me that there is not going to be a positive response from him regarding the new deal,” Dowie told the South London Press.

“But while he is still here and it goes unsigned I will spend every day and week trying to get him to change his mind.”
