Reggina v Milan

Coach Carlo Ancelotti, clearly concerned about tomorrow’s game, rested several key players against Real Madrid on Wednesday. Ancelottimust decide whether to play two strikers – Andriy Shevchenko and Filipo Inzaghi – or drop one of them and play Rivaldo and Rui Costa behind a lone striker.

Although Reggina are fourth from bottom they have won their last five home games and defender Martin Jiranek is confident of beating Milan.

“The way in which we have come through our recent home matches unscathed shows the character and determination of this team,” he said.

Teammate Aimo Diana added: “At the moment Milan are far fromexceptional; they are certainly going through a difficult spell. But Milan are still a great squad and although we will show them respect, we will be aggressive.”

Reggina have striker Gianluca Savoldi back from suspension.

Milan defender Kakha Kaladze has a strained thigh and wing-back Serginho has a leg injury. While midfielder Massimo Ambrosini is doubtful.

Chievo v Parma

Parma’s Adrian Mutu said: “Chievo must be considered one of the big sides of our league. They have been really competitive and are used to the top spots of the Serie A. But we will go to Verona to make all the points.”

In other matches, leaders Juventus are at home to Modena. Juve defender Emiliano Moretti is currently on loan with Modena. Alessandro Del Piero is still unwell.

Second in the table Internazionale are at home to relegation threatened Como.
