Wesley Sneijder hopes to sign a new contract at Inter ‘as soon as possible’.
The Dutch playmaker moved was a major success at Inter following his move from Real Madrid 12 months ago.
During his first season in Italy he helped Inter land an historic Treble, taking the league, Coppa Italia and Champions League crowns. He then helped Holland reach the final of the 2010 World Cup.
Amid speculation that he is a target for Manchester United, Sneijder says he is close to agreeing an extension to his current contract with Inter.

“We are working hard. I hope it is handled quickly and I can stay connected to this great club for a long time.”
